Repository Policy

Educational Challenges supports the lawful and responsible dissemination of scholarly work through institutional, disciplinary, and other recognized academic repositories and platforms.

Authors are permitted to deposit and share their work in repositories, personal academic webpages, university websites, academic profile systems, and other non-commercial scholarly communication environments, provided that such sharing is accompanied by appropriate bibliographic reference and does not misrepresent the status or source of the work.

The journal permits the deposit of the following versions of a manuscript: the preprint (the version prior to peer review), the author accepted manuscript (the version after peer review and acceptance but prior to final editorial formatting), and the version of record (the final published version appearing in the journal).

No embargo period is applied to the deposit or dissemination of these versions. Authors may archive and share eligible versions of their work immediately, including upon acceptance and publication, as applicable.

When depositing any version of an article, authors are strongly encouraged to provide full bibliographic citation details and, where available, include the DOI or permanent URL linking to the final published version on the journal website.

Once an article has been formally published, the journal recommends that authors and readers refer to and cite the Version of Record, as this version constitutes the definitive, citable, and authoritative version of the scholarly work.

Repository deposit does not alter copyright ownership or licensing conditions. Materials published in Educational Challenges remain subject to the journal’s Copyright and Licensing terms.
